MEADOWLAKE PET RESORT HOSTS ADOPTION DRIVE
Pup-A-Palooza this Aprl 9th & 10th
Pup-A-Palooza is a two day event featuring adoptable pets from Houston area rescue groups, DockDogs, weight pull, microchipping, Canine Good Citizen testing, low cost vaccinations, local vendors and activities for the whole family including face painting and balloon art. This event is free to the public and families are encouraged to bring their canine companions. Pup-A-Palooza will be hosted at Meadowlake Pet Resort from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday April 9 and from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday April 10, 2011.
Pup-A-Palooza’s weekend long activities will be benefiting over 17 Houston area rescue groups.
These rescue groups will have dogs available for adoption as well as kissing booths, doggie massages and activities for donations. Heart of Texas will be hosting a DockDog Fun Jump and for only $10.00 your dog will spend the whole day improving on his Big Air, Extreme Vertical, or Speed Retrieve. For only $1.00 attendees may guess the speed of the DockDog and 100% of the profits will be donated to Chase Away Canine Cancer. Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue (TAMR) will be hosting a Fun Weight Pull for only $5 per dog, and all proceeds will be donated to TAMR. Spay/Houston will be offering low cost vaccinations for cats and dogs, and there will be vendor booths for all pet lovers! Get your early tickets for Pets Jam 2011 at Tom Bass Park, and be one of the first to see the Mini Pooper, a Mini Cooper transformed to look like a pooch!
This excitement will be featured both days!
In addition, on Saturday, April 9th Bay Area Pet Adoptions will have $25 Microchipping and on Sunday, April 10th Meadowlake Trainer Tori Hankey will be testing dogs to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen for only $15.
