In Honor of Veteran’s Day, the Houston Humane Society (HHS) announces “Pets for Vets,” a special adoption incentive for all active and retired military personnel. Kicking off Friday, November 11th (11/11/11) and lasting through Sunday, November 13th, an extra special adoption price of just $11 for any dog or cat will be offered to veterans of all branches of the military. To qualify, veterans must have an approved adoption application and show proof of military service.
All adoptions at the Houston Humane Society include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, routine vaccinations, general health exam, rabies vaccine, de-worming, heartworm test in dogs over 6 months and feline leukemia test in cats, and an adoption kit.
About the HHS: The Houston Humane Society is a private, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals. The HHS does NOT receive any government funding or operating funds from national animal welfare organizations, and relies solely on donations, special events and program services For the 6th consecutive year, the HHS has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
