HEARTS TO BE CAPTURED AND TAILS TO BE TOLD THROUGH WEEK OF RESCUES

Kim Hartz Photography to Highlight Rescue Dogs

Local tails will be wagging as five Texas-based animal rescue groups gear up for their available dogs to receive complimentary in-studio portrait sessions by Kim Hartz Photography during the Inaugural Week of Rescues event, May 2 to May 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Groups will be able to use photos at their discretion and the pooch shoot will be completely free of charge.
Kim Hartz, a pet and newborn photographer, will dedicate five full days to capturing these canine companions through her lens. Finished images will be posted on her Facebook page and website (www.kimhartz.com/week-of-rescues) where visitors can catch a glimpse into the lives of man’s best friends who are all in need of furever homes. Rescue art will be revealed the following week as Hartz presents one organization, per day, in the order of their sessions. Scheduled to be photographed is:
May 2: Recycled Poms
May 3: Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel
May 4: All Border Collie Rescue
May 5: Lonestar Shitzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue
May 6: Golden Beginnings
“Through our passion of photography and love of animals, we can make a difference and bring to light the different animal rescue groups in our city,” said Kim Hartz, owner of Kim Hartz Photography. “Our goal for this event is for you to feel the presence and personality of the dogs, and hopefully you’ll be adding a new four-legged friend to the family!”
In addition to this priceless donation of images for promotion of each organizations available adoptable dogs, Kim Hartz Photography will also be accepting monetary donations to further assist these groups with their mission.  Donations for the groups can be made at www.kimhartz.com/week-of-rescues through June 1, and will be tracked and split evenly between the five groups. Any monetary contribution improves the quality of life for animals awaiting adoption and can often make it possible for organizations to assist many more animals as they provide food, vaccinations and shelter. A Week of Rescues will be held twice a year and is open to all rescue groups.
